Zeke was so vivacious and so kind; even though I only knew him for brief moments— a few days with friends in Prague; coffee in Berlin— he was so easy to spend time with. He brought joy with him. I always hoped that we would end up in the same place at the same time again; assumed, in fact, that we would. I grieve that we’ll never meet again, and celebrate that I knew him at all.
