What a tremendous loss. Zeke’s smile and personality lit up the room. I met Zeke when he was giving a guest lecture for an opera class at Dartmouth that I happened to be sitting in on. His passion for music was immediately apparent. I admired how he wanted everyone to experience the joys of live music. He was so full of life and ready for an adventure. Over the years we hung out in various cities around the world, and in each setting I was amazed by his special skill of making everyone feel welcome. His enthusiasm was contagious. I have fond memories of hanging out in his little flat in Munich and getting some sun on the balcony and down by the river. My deepest condolences to Sindre and the family.
