David McCarty
I met Christopher (Zeke) back in 2011 or 2012 here on Cape Cod, where his grandfather and family have a home in Yarmouth. I was the Artistic Director of Cape Cod Opera, at the time, and was always interested in meeting, auditioning and giving young and emerging artists an opportunity for work, as I had been given by CCO. We met and I immediately was struck by his energy and talent and said……OK, we don’t have a lot of money….BUT are you interested? And he was. And his brilliance and passion were clear from that day on. I only had the privilege of working with Chris a few times, but all of the singers who did were so appreciative of his kindness and incredible spirit and energy through out the process and on the podium in performance. I am so grateful to have met and worked with him as were all of us at Cape Cod Opera Company as well as all of those at Opera Providence as well. Rest in Peace Maestro. You will be so very missed and remembered with such fondness and respect. My sincere condolences to one and all.
