We met Christopher McMullen-Laird when we were part of the choir singing Mozart’s Requiem at the Yorke Trust in South Creake, Norfolk, UK, on 29 February 2020\. It was such an extraordinary day which we will never forget. Christopher’s conducting was so inspirational and so amazing that the concert became a special event full of feeling of the power of the music that not only the singers but also the audience afterwards left in an exhilarated mood. His teaching was not only precise but, with his emotional depth, high expectations and trust in our ability, he brought out the very best of all singers. His personal warmth and enthusiasm for the music reached every one of us. His kindness and sense of humour made it easy for us to learn. We were so much looking forward to the next concert with him.
