Christopher, you are in my thoughts constantly and in my prayers constantly. I am asking Mother Mary to be with you and take care of you, firm in the belief that she is doing just that. I am also keeping your mother and father and sister and brother in my thoughts and in my prayers.
I see you in my mind’s eye–your dear mother Molly reminded me that we had indeed met during the vigil for you this past weekend!–years ago at the very first Anthroposophical medicine retreat which your parents had organized in Michigan. And I see you standing there with a look of eager helpfulness that seemed to say, “What can I do for you?” That is how I see you and shall remember you.
You are a shining star. The light shall never go out. I look up and will be looking for you, Christopher, because I need your light in this dark world. I send you love as I know you are sending it to all of us now and shall always.
PS My mother was a musician. She played piano and accordion by ear and sang beautifully. She was the one who taught me to love opera and classical music. I hope that you will meet her in Heaven and make music together. That is a lovely image for me. And St. Cecilia, patron saint of music, shall be with you both.
